Congratulations are in order to the crew of the Reagan! 
The USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) is back home in San Diego after not only successfully completing their Blue Water Certification, they completed it faster than has ever been done before!
The certification is part of their COMPTUEX (Composite Training Unit Exercise), and the Blue Water Certification ensures that the USS Ronald Reagan, one of the Navy’s Nimitz-class aircraft carriers, will be able to land aircraft in emergency situations, in lieu of the availability of friendly airfields.
