In conjunction with the Astoria Regatta, Pier 39 in Astoria is holding a fine event well worthy of your attendance!
As past events have proven, the Bumble Bee/CRPA reunion 2009 is going to be a tasty blend (yes, there will be seafood, bbq, drinks, maybe even cake!) of past meets present where historic happenings are celebrated and future conservation and renewal is enacted with a healthy respect for both.

“Floyd Holcom, owner of Pier 39-Astoria, announces the 3rd Annual CRPA/Bumble Bee Cannery Workers Reunion, Saturday, August 15, from 3pm – 6pm. He cordially invites the public and all former CRPA/Bumble Bee Cannery workers, their families and friends. There will be delicious food, souvenirs, raffles and live music by the String of Pearls Band, playing hits from the big-band era.
Bring your photos and memorabilia to share—this is a great time for former cannery employees to reminisce about old times and re-establish connections. The Hanthorn Cannery Foundation is developing a Memorial Park and Interpretive Center dedicated to the cannery workers and their vital contribution to Astoria. The public is welcome to join in the family fun!”
