Dark Knight vs. Iron Man

If you ask Robert Downey, Jr, who seems to have an opinion on the matter:
He admits that DC Comics’ Dark Knight made him feel “dumb” and in need of a college education, likening the movie to a Ferrari engine.  Downey also alluded that there was too much going on in the plot.
His parting shot was (and I quote): “You know what? F**k DC comics. That’s all I have to say and that’s where I’m really coming from.”

Heath Ledger portrays the Joker in DC Comics' Dark Knight

Have you an opinion on which is the better bit of entertainment?
Or do you think they’re both great movies, just different?
Go with the numbers (Dark Knight took approx. 155 mil its first weekend, and is the third highest-grossing domestic film of all time with $442 million in sales as it topped the movie chart for a fourth straight weekend, Iron Man raked in about 107 mil opening weekend…) or cast your vote:
Either of the above are available for purchase.

Heath Ledger is “The Joker”

DC Comics’ “Dark Knight” starring Christian Bale as Batman, hits theaters nationwide this week (release date July 18, 2008).
Reviews lean towards the favorable reception of actor Heath Ledger’s interpretation of “The Joker” in spite of early doubt.
In his second-to-last role, Ledger had the chance to be the youngest actor to portray the Clown Prince of Crime, the Harlequin of Hate a/k/a that of the Joker, and there were concerns as to his suitability for the role.
The question might be: “Did playing the Joker wring the life force out of Ledger?”

Heath Ledger as the Joker originally (COA included) autographed, framed, exclusive tribute by NW Limited...History in Vogue - #4 of 7 (collection of the artist NFS)

“If you’re good at something, never do it for free.” – Heath Ledger as the Joker

No matter how you feel about Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the witty, wisecracking nemesis to DC Comics’ Batman, “The Joker” was a tough role to play.  Actor Jack Nicholson said as much in a recent interview.
Upon first hearing the news of Ledger’s demise, he said, “I warned him.”
